gosia maria jagiello is a contemporary artist who lives and works in berlin, germany. a native polish, lived for many years in italy.

as a child jagiello received prizes for her innate talent but she decided to pursue with a different career. she earned a master degree in cultural studies and master of political sciences from silesia university.

after many years of collaboration with various environmental organizations, she changed her professional focus. she studied fine arts with cesare viel, an italian conceptual artist, and earned a bachelor of fine arts from accademia ligustica di belle arti in genoa.

jagiello is interested in cultural anthropology but also in use of materials that are traditionally associated with luxury and comfort. her works emanates irony and expresses the polish sense of humour.

paintings, without frames, non-real travel agency organizing trips to legendary places, luxury textile bags of dried chickpeas, meditation temple for art system representatives, these are elements of her creative research process.  

she is inspired and influenced by the work of contemporary artist, such as roland topor, maria lassnig, hanne darboven, carsten holler or christian jankowski, in whose studio she is working now.
